day one Mablethorpe to Scamblesby 21mis 33.6km date 30/5/98

north along dunes road to north end. south-west following Mears bank to Withern village. north-west on a157 to South Reston taking left turn to Authorpe, continue south-west passing Authorpe Grange to Burwell village. turn right onto a16 then first left to ascend Woody's Top. continue over the hill keeping south of Maidenwell and descend to Scamblesdy via Rowgate hill.

watching bats flying near the old vicarage when we returned from having evening meal in the local pub.

day two Scamblesby to Lincoln 24.5 mls 39 klm date 31/5/98

south-west on a153 to Woldale Lodge then northwest to road for Hemingby. turn left onto this road to Hemingby village. continue south-west and cross the a158 at Baumber. continue south-west via the limes to a fourway junction. turn right at this junction then first left towards Gautby. continue south-west to the b1202 road. turn left then right to Fiskerton. from Fiskerton east to Lincoln.

from Lincoln south-west to swallow beck then north-west on b1190 via Doddington to the a57 at Drinsey Nook. west on a57 via Dunham Bridge
